GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS
NATIONAL PARK
These mountains guard the southern approach to the Sunshine Coast.

There are five in total, with four offering public access for bushwalking and rock climbing, catering for all levels of fitness and experience.
Koalas, goannas, echidnas, eastern grey kangaroos, kookaburras, cockatoos and lorikeets and pale headed rosella sightings are a common occurrence within the park.
KONDALILLA NATIONAL PARK (322ha)
This park preserves remnants of rainforest and wet eucalypt forest that provides important wildlife habitat.

“Kondalilla” is an aboriginal word meaning rushing waters and the main attraction is the Kondalilla Falls which cascades 90m over Skene Creek into a rainforest valley. This area is popular for picnicking, bushwalking and bird watching.
MAPLETON FALLS NATIONAL PARK (25.9ha)
This park sits atop the Blackall Ranges. The falls cascade 120m into the valley below. The lookout to view these falls is accessible by strollers and wheelchairs (assisted access). Walking tracks, picnic areas, bbq’s and a shelter shed make for a lovely
day out.
NOOSA NATIONAL PARK (3500ha)
Noosa National Park runs from Noosa Heads in the north to Maroochy River in the south. The most popular part of this park is only minutes from Hastings St in the heart of Noosa. Tracks allow easy access for visitors to explore this park.

Viewing highlights include Boiling Pot and Hells Gates, pandanus-lined Teatree Bay, rocky Granite Bay, Winch Cove and the sweeping beach of Alexandria Bay.
